  • UNM Learn planned maintenance outage on Saturday, May 22nd, 4:30 am - 2:00 pm MT (Friday, May 7, 2021)

    UNM Learn will be unavailable on Saturday, May 22nd, from 4:30 am until 2:00 pm MT, for system maintenance. This outage is taking place within the UNM Learn weekly and routine maintenance windows. The following work is scheduled to be completed: 1) regularly scheduled weekly maintenance (4:30 am - 5:30 am), and 2) Oracle database updates, Learn application updates and patches, and integration updates (5:30 am - 2:00 pm).

    There are a few changes that will occur as part of this work that we wanted to give you advance notice about:

    * Blackboard has replaced the Content Editor in this release. The new version has some workflow changes and issues of which to be aware. For more information and a preview, see the Feature & Functions Update page.

    * As part of the larger UNM security initiative to transition applications to Azure AD authentication with Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), we will be disabling an older authentication method in Learn that has been used for Blackboard mobile app access. Many mobile app users will need to take action to re-authenticate via Azure AD. This can be done before or after the Learn maintenance work. For instructions, see How to Log In.

    * Several security changes for Zoom will be implemented, including a new requirement that meetings be secured via a passcode, waiting room, or authentication. For more information, see Changes, Updates, and New Features. NOTE: These changes apply to UNM Zoom only, not HSC Zoom.

    These changes will all occur during the maintenance on Saturday, May 22.

    Please note times are best estimates and may vary depending on issues encountered when carrying out the scheduled work.

  • UNM Learn maintenance window: Saturdays 4:30 a.m. - 5:30 a.m. MT (Tuesday, January 19, 2021)

    UNM Learn has a weekly maintenance window Saturday mornings from 4:30 a.m. to 5:30 a.m. MT.  The application will be unavailable for part or all of the window, depending on the nature of the work being done.

    There is also a UNM Learn maintenance window every Saturday from 5:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. MT which may be used as needed for routine system maintenance. In addition to this, IT may conduct general system maintenance that affects multiple systems on campus, including UNM Learn. The general system maintenance window is on Sundays, from 6 a.m. until 12 noon MT. Every effort is made to conduct maintenance between terms when at all possible. However, there may be times during the semester when UNM Learn must be brought down for system maintenance. In most circumstances, announcements will be posted in UNM Learn two weeks ahead of time to notify users of any outages planned during these windows.
